Picture and Words

Picture and words
===============
"A picture is worth a thousand words" -
A saying for sure, we all have heard!
When asked to prove this using maths in mind,
Rules of trigonometry are usually kind!

Construct a square of unit length,
Measure the diagonal using ruler and tell -
The value is irrational and you will just see -
A square root of two is what it should be!

Didn't you just manage to represent a length,
Which when put into words,
has no theoretical end? 🤔

Victoria Park Chronicles

Silly young Ravi,
accustomed he's been -
To the clear trails in the park,
Even in harsh cold he's seen!

Began to wonder when at a corner he found,
A thin white veil,
Covering the ground!

No footprint he could see!
No mallards! No geese!
"Oh! what has this trail become!" - he muttered as he leaves.

Deep within himself,
he still does hold,
A truth he has simply known -
If you live in Kitchener downtown,
There is no better place to go,
For an early morning round..!!

(Dedicated to Aesop, whose Ant and the cricket inspired this one!)
